CHIQUE BRANDING & PACKAGING DESIGN
CHIQUE BRANDING & PACKAGING DESIGN
Chique is a family-owned, Bristol-based line of natural, sustainably produced self-care products. Through their online marketplace, Chique sells unique cosmetics, liquid soap, bar soap, toothpaste, shampoo, and hair care products, each of them handmade using time-honoured processes.
Chique recently asked BONB Creative & Design to create a visual identity and packaging design for their shampoo and soap products. Their brief specified that the new design should convey Chique’s traditional production methods and commitment to sustainability in a friendly and aspirational way.
We combined an elegant traditional font with a clean, contemporary logo to produce a distinctive and versatile basis for Chique’s new brand identity that embraces old and new. Chique’s new colour palette reflects the typography’s timelessness. Colour-coded watercolour illustrations of essential herbs make it easy to identify the natural ingredients used in Chique’s formulations, and create a visual language that can grow as the company adds more products to its line.

HARMAN PIZZA FLOUR LOGO & PACKAGING DESIGN
HARMAN PIZZA FLOUR LOGO & PACKAGING DESIGN
Cosmos Trade is a family-owned food wholesaler located in Basildon, Essex. Serving regional caterers and the general public, Cosmos supplies meat, poultry, fruit, and vegetables, along with chilled and frozen food, beverages, and cleaning supplies. Cosmos recently launched a new line of pizza flour, ground especially for the company in Turkey and imported for sale in the UK. “Harman,” as the brand is known, has several meanings—harvest, threshing, and blending—each of them to do with the harvesting, grinding, and processing of wheat.
Cosmos approached BONB Creative & Design to create a fresh, bold logo and packaging that would attract attention on store shelves.
The logo’s bold colours draw attention to Harman’s packaging, and its reassuringly vintage styling suggest a connection with millennia of flour-milling tradition. Hand-drawn elements and subtle flourishes convey the flour’s premium quality and organic origins. Classic serif and script typography complete the design.

BOTALIFE ESSENTIAL OIL PACKAGING
BOTALIFE ESSENTIAL OIL PACKAGING
Botalife is a manufacturer and supplier of the finest quality essential oils and cold pressed unrefined carrier oils. They oversee production from seed to oil and are able to offer high quality, pure, and all-natural products which are free from pesticides & herbicides. They supply their products to cosmetic, food, and dietary supplement companies. They cater to every size of business, from orders as small as a kilogram to as large as a metric tonne in bulk quantities, or packed and ready for retail sale depending on the customer’s needs.
We were challenged to modernise the existing packaging design, make it more eye-catching and colourful, and design a more premium-looking product.
For the new packaging design, we took inspiration from crayon etching scratch art. We designed a new visual identity by replacing the photographic images of herbs and plants with more esoteric botanical illustrations. We developed a sophisticated look and feel which enhanced and complimented the healing attributes of essential oils. Finally, to reflect the product’s elegance and purity, we used black as the predominant background along with soft highlight colours.

LOGO DESIGN
LOGO DESIGN
Four of our logo designs have won awards in the Graphis Logo Design 9 Competition.
Graphis is committed to presenting and promoting the work of exceptional talent in Graphic Design, Advertising, Photography and Art/Illustration. Our works have been featured in the Graphis Logo Design9 hardcover book.
SEÇİM AKTÜEL – GOLD AWARD
Animated logo design for the TV programme “Seçim Aktüel” about the Election in Turkey. Infographics and solid colors formed the opening titles, and on the packshot we brought the same graphics within the logo.
PAHA BİÇİLEMEZ İSTANBUL – SILVER AWARD
This logo is for a TV show “Paha Biçilemez İstanbul” (Priceless İstanbul) that guides us around the must-see places in Istanbul. The logo reflects modern and ancient Istanbul, where continents collide, embracing both European and Middle Eastern cultures.
TROUT LIFE STUDIO – SILVER AWARD
Logo design for an Online Print-on-Demand services. We incorporated the client’s name, “Trout Life Studio”, directly into the typographical artwork, interweaving an abstract trout shape with a simple wave to the letters. With the logo doubling up as the brand name in a bold minimalistic style, the design has functioned well as a social media profile picture.
NTVPARA – SILVER AWARD
NTV broke with the economy channel CNBCe, and rebranded as NTVPara. We left the original NTV logo unchanged, only altering the colour of the ball from blue to yellow, and the text from orange to white. The concept for the new logo incorporates ascending and descending triangles, indicating fi nancial statistics. Our chosen typeface allowed us to continue this concept throughout, using these triangles within letter “a” in “para”. The clear visual identity provided a direct and eloquent message to the audience. The triangles on the logo were very well received and they played as the main graphics in the title animations.
SKYLAB MEDIA
Our commission for Skylab Media, a high-end digital agency, was to create a new brand identity to show a new side to their work. The concept had to sum up Skylab’s offer to clients simply and elegantly. We designed the letter ‘S’ as wire connections, a minimal concept which helped create a practical and flexible logo across print and digital, without losing any of the agency’s personality.
STAN SPORT
Energy and movement were symbolised by adding the dimension and angles to the box, for this logo for a sports channel.
FAR – FURNISHED APARTMENT RENTALS
Design and concept for a new logo for a company providing serviced apartment rentals. We played around with the typography to create a pleasing yet smart design.
BOTALIFE
Design and concept for a new logo for organic healthcare products.
KLIP STAR LOGO
In creating this logo for a TV programme about music videos We took inspiration from movie clappers and stacks of film.

OTTO TILES VISUAL IDENTITY SYSTEMS
OTTO TILES VISUAL IDENTITY
Otto Tiles & Design produces unique handmade Turkish tiles from its facilities in Istanbul and London. The firm’s core aesthetic blends Anatolian and Western influences, creating a fresh take on several long-standing design vernaculars.
We were approached to develop a clean, contemporary visual identity for Otto Tiles’ packaging, literature, and other brand assets. Drawing on the firm’s most enduringly popular designs, we crafted a visual pattern that conveys Otto Tiles’ bold, clean, yet deceptively intricate aesthetic.
We first applied this pattern to a mailing box used to send samples to clients of Otto Tiles. The box is specifically designed as a durable and handsome storage solution whose usefulness and brand reinforcement can last far beyond its first use.
The mailing box includes a brochure welcoming clients to Otto Tiles and describing the samples contained within, and informational stickers to be applied to the back of each tile.
We also designed a digital brochure offering a broad introduction to Otto Tiles and its product lines.
Next, Otto Tiles enlisted us to create an ad for Elle Decoration magazine; the ad measurably boosted sales enquiries.
We also designed a label for Otto Tiles’ tile-cleaning product line, which is only sold at the company’s showroom.
The new visual identity appears in promotional items such as this tote bag, given to guests at a party celebrating the opening of Otto Tiles’ new facility.
An email announcing the opening celebration also reflected Otto Tiles’ new brand identity.

BOOK OF TILE SAMPLES / PACKAGING DESIGN
BOOK OF TILE SAMPLES
Client
Otto Tiles & Design are a provider of handmade, bespoke Turkish tiles, based in Istanbul, Zurich and London. They aim to create amazing aesthetics with unique designs and patterns, and to be a bridge between Turkish and Anatolian art and the West. Using their strong connections with artisans and craftsmen in Turkey, they provide beautiful handcrafted tiling made using authentic, ancient techniques to people all over the world.
Objective
To develop and design a book of samples to allow them to share and promote their tiles, showcasing their work and attracting new business.
SCOPE OF WORK
- Graphic design for print
Solution
The brand identity of Otto Tiles and Design focuses strongly on heritage, the handmade nature of the tiles, the craftsmanship that goes into them, and the overall aesthetics and beauty of the finished products. Our aim was to capture this identity and produce something that was strongly complementary to the Turkish tiles themselves, that emphasised the history, heritage and traditions behind the work, and that promoted the tiles as beautiful items in their own right.
We created a clean, clear and stylish sample book, working with a brochure style. We used the tiles themselves as a base for the design, to showcase the work itself more prominently, and to demonstrate the inherent beauty and style of the products.
The design had to incorporate practical considerations as well as aesthetic ones, as the samples themselves require support and structure, and needed to be displayed in the best possible fashion. We chose a three-page foldout design, and used hard-wearing, stiff card to display the samples prominently and effectively, and allow the fullest promotion of the products.

Objective
In order to promote their products, the client required examples of previous projects, and needed to be able to showcase their tiles in situ. We were tasked with creating a portfolio of 3D renderings to demonstrate the range of tiles and their potential placements and use.
SCOPE OF WORK
- 3D Architectural Renderings
Solution
The client did not have examples or images of the tiles installed, or in situ. We therefore were required to create mock-ups, or renders of the tiles used in a range of potential projects or placements in homes, gardens and businesses.
The brand identity of Otto Tiles and Design focuses strongly on heritage, the handmade nature of the tiles, the craftsmanship that goes into them, and the overall aesthetics and beauty of the finished products. We wanted to emphasise the high quality and upmarket nature of the tiles, and their use in luxury and modern, contemporary design projects. Our aim was to produce something that was strongly complementary to the tiles themselves, and that promoted the tiles as beautiful items in their own right.
We designed a series of graphics using 3D rendering, placing tiles in a variety of locations to demonstrate their quality, attractiveness and versatility, and showcasing the range of tiles and their ability to fit seamlessly into any design scheme.
The finished products we high quality renderings designed to be able to be used online, and in print catalogues, to showcase the tiles and demonstrate their potential use to clients.

TERAZZOTTO BRANDING
TERAZZOTTO
Client
Terazzotto is a brand of Otto Tiles & Design, a provider of handmade, bespoke Turkish tiles, based in Istanbul, Zurich and London.
Terazzotto uses terrazzo tiles to blend stylish, attractive design with durable and versatile materials to create the perfect combination of aesthetics and practicality. Terrazzo tiles are primarily used in large scale design and architecture projects, as they are incredibly hard-wearing, extremely attractive, and brilliantly flexibile, working just as well as a subtle compliment to an overall design as a bold statement that draws the eye.
Objective
To design a full suite of digital and print marketing products including a website, a logo and a catalogue. The purpose of these was to promote the products and strengthen the brand identity, as well as to provide solutions for future marketing, awareness raising and new business.
SCOPE OF WORK
- Brand identity
- Logo design
- Web design
- Catalog design
- 3D Architectural renderings
Solution
Otto Tiles and Design focuses strongly on heritage, the handmade nature of the tiles, the craftsmanship that goes into them, and the overall aesthetics and beauty of the finished products.
The brand identity of Terazzotto is subtly different, focusing on the design and craftsmanship as well, but also on durability and versatility, and the use of the tiles on much larger, grander projects.
Our aim was to capture this identity and produce something that was strongly complementary to the terrazzo tiles themselves, that emphasised the history, heritage and traditions behind the work, and showed how they could be used in a huge variety of different projects and styles.
As the target audience was high-end media and large clients, we aimed to create a slick, sophisticated look across the board. We designed the logo using the tiles themselves as a base, featuring square shapes throughout. The website featured a contemporary design and colour palette, again referencing the terrazzo tiles and using them as an influence on our thought and design process. The catalogue was produced using the same process and thinking, with the addition of 3D renderings of the tiles in situ in example projects, which we also created ourselves.
The overall project conveyed style, elegance and versatility, aimed at high-end clients, and was designed with a contemporary and sophisticated look and feel.

VERDACURA ORGANIC HEALTHCARE BRANDING
VERDACURA
Client
Verdacura is a new subsidiary brand of BRT Naturals. Translating as ‘green cure’, they are an online retailer specialising in natural cosmetics, liquid soap, shampoo, toothpaste, bar soap, and hair care products.
Objective
We were commissioned to design the logo, the packaging and the website for the new brand, defining and reinforcing the brand identity and providing opportunities for sales, marketing and new business.
SCOPE OF WORK
- Logo design
- Packaging design
Solution
Our design philosophy for this project focused on the green, natural, healthy aspects of the Verdacura brand. We aimed to create a clean brand identity with an emphasis on the connections to nature.
For the logo, we incorporated a leaf design into the ‘v’ of Verdacura, evocating the natural, health-giving properties of the products and the natural look and feel of the brand. The logo and text stand out strongly and clearly from the white background, and with the colours reversed are equally striking against the black.
We carried this design direction over across the look and feel of the packaging and website. The packaging combines this natural, green feel with a contemporary and upmarket look, designed to appeal to high end clients looking for luxury, top of the range products and natural cosmetics.

I&C TEXTILE BRANDING AND WEB DESIGN
I&C TEXTILE
Client
I&C Textile are a London-based textile consultancy firm, made up of dedicated textile professionals and engineers, providing expert consultation services for textile companies, as well as sourcing high-quality textiles from around the world for UK companies.
Objective
The client asked us to design a high quality, attractive website, as well as to design a professional and stylish letterhead for business use.
SCOPE OF WORK
- Letterhead design
- Web design
Solution
For the website, we designed a clean, clear and slick-looking site that gives relevant information up front, provides a clear and effective user journey, and is eye-catching and attractive. We used imagery that evokes the textile business and tells the story of the textile consultancy, but that is not obstructive or obtrusive, and does not overwhelm the bold text or the message.
For the letterhead, we decided to keep things as simple as possible, designing something that was professional, stylish and minimalist, while also being capable of catching the recipient’s attention, and promoting the brand effectively.

COSMOS CATERING CATALOG, MENU AND LEAFLET
COSMOS CATERING
Client
Cosmos Catering is a family-owned business based in Basildon, Essex. They are the suppliers of meat, poultry, fruit and vegetables, along with chilled and frozen food, beverages and cleaning supplies.
Objective
The client asked us to design a menu for their restaurants, and a catalogue and promotional leaflet for their range of catering services and solutions.
SCOPE OF WORK
- Catalog design
- Leaflet design
- Restaurant menu design
Solution
Cosmos Catering aim to convey a friendly, fun and enthusiastic approach. We wanted to develop a design scheme that could be transmitted across all print materials, which was in line with their ethos and approach.
We kept the menu, the leaflet and the catalogue as uncluttered as possible, and used images of food and beverages sparingly as highlights, rather than as the main focus of the materials. Given the nature of the bricks-and-mortar establishments in particular, we added a very subtle hint of ‘classic retro diner’ style to the designs, aimed at evoking feelings of nostalgia and great customer service.
The overall effect was pleasingly clear, engaging and readable, with the colour scheme drawing the reader’s attention, and the combination of logo and detailing evoking the high quality nature of the products and services.
